Small rugs come in a wide assortment of shapes, colors and designs. The shapes are square, rectangle, oval, round and unusual. A rug placed on each side of the bed, one in front of the dresser and one by the comfortable reading chair fashion a private nighttime hideaway. These can be the same color, a combination of solid color and patterns, contrasting colors and patterns or different shades of the same color. Each will create a new and unique look. A homeowner may choose to buy an assortment of small rugs in a wide variety of colors, patterns and shapes and mix and match these in different rooms at different times to change the ambiance.
Small area rugs made from wool create a high-quality, soft textured deep pile rug that is durable and naturally resists dust mites. Many rugs are made from a combination of wool and cotton. Cotton rugs are popular and inexpensive. Nylon creates an affordable product that is strong, long-lasting and stain resistant.
